DVD, NAV, mp3 Confusion

Guys, help.. I have read the threads and am COMPLETELY confused. I was one of the early ones to discover the NAV replacement 03's were able to play DVD's using the CD0. Since there has been discussion with the model years since.. and the 3-5-7 menu.. and have lost track...

I am WANTING to play mp3's on my car with it setup currently for the EU_W211 mode (so the brit chick speaks with the NAV, I have RDS on the FM, I lost WB, play DVD video, etc)... but to play mp3's .... I'm confused.

Does my car NEED a software update (if so which one? I'm going to the dealer tomorrow).. or will the car just PLAY mp3's discs without any software update?

Also, to make the mp3 discs... can I put it on a DVD disc, or does it have to be a CD-R? Any special settings for the software to burn it? I have Instant CD/DVD (came with my DVD writer).

Anyways, thanks
Peter

Thanks dude... I'll try to find the thread with the part number for the update CD. HOPEFULLY my dealer will do the update (they don't seem willing to help with any "euro" type "add-ons." =)
