320 wagon - leaking washer fluid in trunk compartment.

I read a few years ago, a post about an "anti-freeze" device on the rear window washer. If the outside temperature fell below a certain level, a device on the plastic hose up to the rear window would "push" the hose apart so the plastic hose will not be frost damaged.

The symptoms of this genius Mercedes invention, should be washer fluid at the bottom behind the cover on the right side of the trunk.

And that's the situation by me, washer fluid keeps running up from the inner wheel arch, and down.

The big question is how in the hell do you get to the "anti freeze device" it seems very difficult, the outer cover is simple to remove, but the cover over the inner wheel is immediately a nightmare....

At least not yet I managed to get the cover removed, despite persistent attempts.

What Am I doing something wrong?

S211 E320CDI x2 both Brienz Blue.
A great idea in a stupid position! Killed the anti-tilt sensor on my S211 and judging by the previous repair to the wiring at least the second time. Added a plastic bag so if the washer looks poor I know to look in the bag. UK spec car without bass box.
