Opinions on these wheels (19" GFG's)

Id like to hear some thoughts on these wheels. Id be getting them in chrome, 19x9 and 19x10. The price is REALLY cheap.. brand new with Pirellis for $3400 out the door. I figured if the chrome is to bling I can paint them silver.

the are made by GFG, www.gfgwheels.com. Retail is about $1300 for each wheel without tires.

This is just my opinion but I don't really like them. They remind me of spiked leather collars and bracelets and I was never really into those either.

Like this...

umm ok, interesting comparison. As I stated, I am getting chrome not black. I might possibly paint them silver. I found a pic of a 55 with silver ones..

all chrome looks a lot better. still, I'm not partial to the styling. But your call. Sounds like you are getting a good deal. 3 pc or 2 pc? Forged? I could see those on a bimmer. I dont think they style goes with the multi-pc wheel design, should be no rivets. Would look cleaner IMO. If youre gonna have multi piece wheel, should be more of a traditional sporty look.

They are a 3 piece forged... I like them but I dont love them... I had LM-5's on my 97 E and I loved those but hated the price. I think my desire for these wheels is the based on price. Ill probably end up ordering HRE's, I just hate to wait!

Well, I got my wheels for about the same price as your setup. Good wheels, if you like that style. They only have 3 styles right now, but will be coming out with at least 3 new ones very shortly (Angstrom).

The price that you're getting for the Trento 5 is too good to be true. Are they brand new or used? I ordered my set of GFG back in July, I was told it will take 2 weeks and that 2 weeks had turned to 6. So, if you are ordering new ones, be prepared that the wait will be as long (if not, longer) than HREs!

Not to my taste at all. They look like they belong on an Escalade.

If I were going to spend that much money - I'd get some HRE 540Rs.

They were in my hand today and I even put one on the back to see if I liked it.
The wheels are brand new, chrome 19x9 and 19x10. The dealer is a personal friend and he said he bought 20 sets thats why the price is so cheap.

The dealer that had them got a special deal from GFG. They have since sold out... I do have a set of the Beverly Hills in 19x8.5 and 19x10 in chrome. They are two weeks old, I am selling them for $3700 with new tires. I can post a pic if you are interested.

I think those wheels are a great additive to an E.
