Anybody had problems with intermittent xenon lamp on the left side?

I replaced the bulb and the igniter and it worked but only for a day and the warning is showing on the dashboard to say the left dipped beam is faulty again. Could it be low quality parts which have failed instantly or is there something further up the food chain which causes an intermittent lighting issue with the left front headlamp?

I've got a similar issue. Mine is intermittent as well. Have also replaced the bulb, next step is the ballast. Mine usually shows up during wet weather or after wet weather. So assuming water is getting in somewhere, but the lens is clear.

 

Also check cable insulation in the headlight itself. After so many years the insulation will start to disintegrate causing cables to touch each other
