Invalid Drive Authorization Date and other codes and issues
SAW was able to program the new unit in-house.
I also had multiple issues caused by a broken ground wire which I fixed with a splice.
(trunk opening prob, license plate lights, 3rd brake out - the Brown Wire)
I've been told I need to replace the oil level sensor. Is that more complicated to access on my '06 4MATIC W211.087?
I'm not seeing any videos online and know that some models need the engine lifted 1/2" to provide enough access.
Since the visit to the shop, it is showing 'Oil sensor malfunction' in the MF display. (Multi-Function Display...lol)
I am (understandably) unable to read the oil level from the 'hidden menu' in the car's MF display.
I do know how to work a dipstick.
I have a new LAUNCH Creader for reading Mercedes codes.
I'll attach three PDF scans. One is from the shop's superior AUTOLOGIC scanner 'post' CGW replacement on 4/23/2024. (2 pages)
The first scan I performed on 5/4/2024 at 10:52 AM was performed after I fixed the broken ground wire in the trunk, yet It still has the un-cleared codes from before my wire repair (and after the shop's CGW work).
I cleared all the codes I could and then ran my second scan at 10:57 AM 5/4/2024
Two codes, (the ASSYST codes) (and a few issues) remain. From my second scan...
"There are 2 issues for Vehicle body system:
1 - ASSYST PLUS-PLUS Active Service System
DTC 910A - Invalid Drive Authorization Data
2 - ASSYST Active Service System
DTC 9202 - Control Units A1(Instrument Cluster) And(Or) N73(EIS [EZS] Control Unit) Were Replaced.
I would VERY much like to understand these codes, how to fix them, or if they should/can be ignored.
MY OTHER REMAINING ISSUES
What is this? "Reading Data...please wait" has been displayed several times a day since visiting the shop. I've waited for at least 15 minutes, maybe more, and I am still waiting...
User error? I tried to do a Service Reset (SAW changed the oil), but could not get past "Service menu Calculating..." where it hangs.
Here are the steps I followed for the Service Reset and to read the oil level (even though I need a new sensor)
Of course, I still get the "Convenience functions disabled" sometimes, and once during my scans and fiddling with the hidden menus I even got the big red battery warning and the command to Visit Workshop. I had one scare today where my no-crank issue happened once again and somehow resolved itself. Can I mess up anything with the hidden menus that may have caused this? Or, do I still have an intermittent no-crank issue to solve? When I saw the ESP Dynomometer test displayed, I changed it to "on." "Unavailable diagnostic test" was displayed. After reading a bit, I changed it back to "Circuit 15 off" and wonder what is the correct setting for driving (not testing)?
I also wish I could learn why I am unable to reset what I believe is a trip odometer. I can reset the others, like "since reset..." and "since restart", but when I try to reset the 4871.9 under the O mph, it goes to "0" but returns with the 4871.9 trip mileage later.
Thanks in advance for your help.
