Front suspension / axle work

I need to replace my front CV boots. Not a job I am looking forward to, but now that I have to, I want to replace any parts that are within reach on the front suspension. My E320 4-matic has 160k miles.
"Don't fix if it ain't broken" has my preference, but I also want to avoid having to take of the brakes again in the next 2 years to replace some 50$ parts.
I already decided to replace discs & brake pads. And probably the ball joints and shocks. And if needed the wheel bearings. Perhaps also the tie rods / tie rod boots.
Any other bushings, bearings or other parts I should consider replacing while the wheels and brakes are off?

I dont have a W211 but came across an informative thread when researching how to do the boots on my W204. Seems this person hardly disconnected anything, looks pretty easy.

I agree it's not too difficult. But calipers, discs, wheel nuts will have to come off.
Just not things I like to do on a monthly basis.

Youd be wise to have a good look at all the bushings. These make a huge difference to ride quality. Some are easy to do such as sway bar bushings and the sway bar links at each end - they're also relatively inexpensive. Have a good look at your upper and lower control arm bushings as well. If you have to change them, especially the lower arm bushings, save yourself the headache and buy a replacement arm, not just the bushings.
