Sway bar differences?
Hi all, I have a e500 wagon (4matic) however for some reason it did not come with a front sway bar (there USED to be one im sure)
So I have figured out the RWD and AWD are different. But what im not sure of is, are all the e350/350/500 AWD front sway bars the same? trying to find one at the local salvage yard but they only have e350 4matics
and is there a Sport version? right now this thing rolls like waterbed

If you get the EPC, it also comes with WIS which is what you really want, it's the full dealer repair manual that the dealers used. Discontinued in 2018/2019 but still good for the older cars.

I did look up parts through some online source, they all appear to have the same PN#, which is slightly disappointing. My previous bmw 540iT , had the sport package and I put in a rear M5 sway bar. Really was hoping I could get similar handling out of this one

Basically you can't trust those online sources. EPC will get you the right part number. There's not that much aftermarket support for Mercedes in terms of optional performance items, pretty much it's all stock. You're going to get whatever handling it had when stock. I suppose if you had EPC, you could check out an AMG version and see what the sway bar part numbers were and check the diagrams and see if they might fit or not. But I never looked into that. While people like to talk about performance and all that, it rarely comes into play in every day driving.
