E500 Exhaust mods
Hi. I am going te get my new e500 w211 picked up at friday. I test drove it, the sound is good but not as good as other V8s. I know it is supposed to not be loud because it is meant to be a luxury car, but thats not what i want it to be. I have started as a mechanic in february this year and have a lot of tools available to modify the exhaust, the only thing i need to know is what i should delete for it to sound better and more aressive. I have heard many e500 sound like AMGs, and the inly thing they tell is that i should replace resonator with x-pipe. Others replace stock mufflers with c63. I dont want to replace mufflers with C63 as these cost around 2000 usd each in my country. So please come with some exhaust lessons for me. Thanks for your help.

i think im not going to get a cat delete cuz of the codes and ****ing up with the engine, sensors etc. But do you think that would have a lot of difference if i delete or not delete it? What do you think it will be with only resonator delete and x pipe instead? Maybe muffler delete as well? Post a sound when you get urs done

Just remove the mufflers straight pipe to rear and add a nice set of tips,Thats easy and cheap,Not sure why someone would want do that to E500 300HP and 4000lbs won't equal fast just louder but it will sound pretty good

I have my resonator delete with an x pipe and muffler delete. I highly recommend you get a j pipe installed to alleviate drone on the highway. Mine has no highway drone but does have 35mph drone, which is fixed by dropping a gear.
