Help! Need the differential ratio W211 E200

So my w211 differential was faulty and I gave it to my friend's garage.
He replaced it with the wrong one and the gears are not shifting past 3rd.
Now I came to know from a Mercedes Benz expert that each model has a unique differential ratio,
and knowing the ratio of my model is needed to find the differential with exact fit for my car. I was wondering it anyone know (or know from where i can get) the differential ratio of W211 E200 2008 face-lift model.

Are the old gears still available, or did your friend threw them away? Ratio is either stamped to the gears, or just count the teeth and divide ring with pinion.

you can go to any dealer with your VIN and they will tell you the ratio and the appropriate part number(s) for differentials for your VIN----its simple and not rocket science
