Gearbox changing into 1st gear from D without user intervention
Hi
Today my E280 gearbox decided to change and hold 1st gear whilst driving. I really don't do the manual gearshift thing, and just leave it in D.
For some reason, the gearbox shifted from D to 1st gear, without me touching the gear stick. This is the 2nd time that my car has done this.
Should I be concerned? Today I did reach over to my left and may have bumped the gear stick inadvertently, but I didn't feel it. (My car is RHD btw.)
I've had the fluid and filter changed twice now. Just last week and two years ago (roughly 20,000km traveled in-between). My car has done just over 111,000km.
