Resync old FOB with new EIS?
2005 e320 CDI
Is it possible? I ordered a new fob thinking the old one was broken but I had to replace my EIS. Now the old key doesn’t work (new one does, obviously), the mechanic at MB seemed to think I could resync my old fob to the new EIS, but I can’t find any info on it. Thanks!

Out Of Control!!
something is very strange as all you did was change the EIS and was coded ike the old damaged one therefore the old fob should work----take the fobs and the car back to the dealer

I actually had the EIS replaced by a mechanic shop that specializes in German and foreign cars. I guess they were able to do it despite not being a dealership, so I’m not sure if the dealer would even do anything about it?
