722.6 connector leaking again 1 month after replacement

So I replaced the notorious electrical connector (pilot bushing) about a month ago when I serviced my transmission as it was leaking, it was good for a little bit then started leaking again. I didn't use a genuine part the first time so im thinking about using a genuine replacement (part no. 2035400253) this time.

Today I inspected the connector leak and noticed that the plug is wet. I did not replace the red O-ring of the plug itself so I suspect this may be the culprit. Is it also possible for the conductor plate to be causing the leak?

Also disregard the non factory bolt and nut holding the corner of the pan on as I had stripped the thread of the transmission upon re-installation of the pan.

The plug is also quite wet, I suspect its the red O-ring that is leaking as it was not replaced. What is the part No. for it?

ATF pooling in the bottom of the connector that was replaced a month ago. Is this normal?

General area. Note the ATF at the engine side of the bellhousing. ATF also present along the connector side of the transmission and accumulates towards the back.

I would replace the pilot bushing first. The small 7mm bolt needs no more than 2Nm of torque if I am not mistaken. There should not be oil in that place. It could also be the conductor place which fails to seal it....

I would recommend changing all the o-rings on the bushing and the connector. And maybe change the bushing itself to be safe try to get the OEM if possible.

edit: I had a leak too which wasn't from the bushing since the drops were forming on the pan bolts but after changing every single o-ring on the connector and bushing it stopped. I don't think the bushing or the connector were the problem but the leak stopped nonetheless. And torquing it down correctly is very important.

Assuming this 722.6 is the same as the one in the AMGs, there is an updated design connector that has two o-rings, one in the obvious location and one about halfway down to help seal. Perhaps try one of those?
