Angry Display Defective!!

My 2003 E500 got "display defective" message. Right now no gas gauge on dashboard, no turn signal, no reverse light, and the biggest problem is I can't unlock the gas filler door. Anyone experience the similar problem?

Thanks,

Lenny

Sounds like a fuse gone.

If you look in the manual you can still open the fuel door by moving a lever in the trunk. As per the other problem, I have not idea what it could be.

?????Lock on the gas filler door????

I don't have a lock on the gas door. No latch at all...just push it open.

The reason it just opens in your car is that you only tried to open the filler door when the doors have been unlocked. Lock your doors and then try to open it. Now you will see what we are talking about. The fuel filler door is a slave to the driver’s door. Whatever position the driver's door lock is, the fuel door will follow if there is not malfunction. That is why there is an emergency release in the trunk.

Thanks for reply,

I tried to take out the inner panel and I can't find the emergency gas door lock. Originally I also think about the problem may be due to the fuse but the problem is not happening all the time. This morning the problem was gone when I started the car. But when I reached the dealership, the problem came back up when someone take a look. And then when the service advisor came, the problem disappears again. Hopefully I can get my car back soon because the dealership only give me maximum 2 days loaner.

Thanks,

Lenny
