2008 E-350 4matic
Hi. I have a high mileage 2008 E-350 with a 4matic trans. I'm having a problem with shifting into R or D. I'll start the car, put it into R or D and the car does not engage at first. Put it into park and repeat and after 5 seconds you can feel the transmission engage and everything works great. Has anyone else had this issue or can shed some light on this problem? I've scanned the car and there are no transmission codes.

I personally have not experience any of those syptoms, but I would recomnend youtube/interweb/other media spots for some references. Has the trans ever been serviced under your ownership? If not, It may be time get it sked for service as a plus I would also get F/R differential, and transfer case fluids knocked out too. Just my humble opinion. GL
