Passenger seat stuck, Please advise!
My 2003 E320 passenger seat looks like this now (pic attached). It can move forward and backward, but not up! I’m feeling a little anxious because fixing this might cost me a lot, especially since accessing the motors is harder than before. Bought it a last week :/
The seat is tilted all the way back, and I hear a click when I try to lower it further. Now why did i try to lower it more knowing it can’t go up, you might ask? Well, I read a post on an MB forum where someone suggested the seat would come back up if I tilted it all the way back first. I did exactly that, and now here I am.
Help me out brothers!

you are correct fixing the problem is going to cost you and thats another reason the seller is laughing all the way to the bank---start by replacing the applicable motor--if you dont know how go find a copy of MB WIS if you dont know what that is then go to a good cheap honda mechanic bro.

If you still hear a repetitive clicking noise, the motor could still be OK, and possibly the gears are no longer meshed. Have you tried raising the seat while simultaneously giving it some arm muscle assist?

To answer your question; Yeah there is one click sound when I try to lower it further but not constant clicking and I used arm muscle thinking it might help but it didn't help. Also I just got back from the Auto shop and he said I might have to replace the whole passenger seat. He used the device Pluto recommended but still couldn't move it up via the device. What do you suggest? Also any recommendations on where I could find a seat?

There was another thread posted several months ago by an owner with a similar problem. The seat gear train had a stripped nylon part that was worth about 50 cents, and for that, an entire seat assembly replacement was the proposed remedy. Surely the mechanism that's holding your seat reclined can be sprung so the the seat can be raised into an acceptable position. After that, I'd cut the wiring to the motor so it never moves again.

Why not unbolt the seat and take it out of the car so you can see what you’ve got?
As far as finding a seat if you wind up needing it, this kind of search definitely won’t break the bank:
