W211 Bluetooth Adapter to Replace AUX

Has anyone tried one of those adapters to replace out the AUX on a W211 to get Bluetooth audio? Has anyone had any success - looking for a way to add Bluetooth while keeping the OEM Headunit and not lose control of the CD changer.

I just use a genetic one that plugs into the aux.

You have a link? I was looking for one of those but most are battery powered or would take up the cigarette lighter power spot which I want to avoid because I want it to have a clean look.

I have one of those things hooked up behind my NTG1 comand. Works like a charm. The power is connected to the cables of the sigarette power socket. It's invisible and the qound quality is very good It connects to the aux connection on the back of the head unit. I also had one in my CLK wit a comand 2.0 for a few years, same experience.

I have a 2008 E350 and use the Bovee 1000 adapter. It plugs into the ipod connector in the glove box and works great. I play my music from my iPhone while in the car and it works great with the stock radio/command centre. Find it on Amazon.

Is there an easy spot to pull power from or will I have to splice some wires? Thinking I can take this to an audio spot to get done because I do not want to splice any wires myself.

There's these quick splice connectors which are very easy. no soldering or stripping of wires or anything.

These are the worst kind of connectors ever invented! Sure they are quick to use, but that's the only good thing.

E350 (W211)
I installed one and didn’t like it. It was too quiet compared to plugging it into the AUX port. I removed it immediately.
