Today this little light showed up as soon as I got in the 2006 E 350. It stayed on until I got home and eventually went off after I closed the door. It's a California car living in South Carolina. Looks like a little palm tree. The car has only 37,000 miles on it. Anybody ever seen this image on the panel? Seems to be connected to the cabin lights.
Good chance you have faulty pixels that only show part of a warning light. Given as you've said that it went off after you closed the door, possible that it's a door open warning light.
Scan you car for codes. That may just show you what the dash is trying to tell you.
Took it to my independent MB service guy. He says it looks like something got in and took black background paint off that area. He went through the menus trying to see if it was text pixel prob. but the palm tree shows up in a plane that shows in front and to the side of the regular menu pixels, there seemed to be no interference with the menu pixels. I also found a little bug inside a tail lamp. How did that get in there?
