Seek info on air spring electrical pin function OR delete front airmatic

Hi everyone, I recently converted the front airmatic suspension on my 2004 E500 wagon to springs but would like to still keep the rear air suspension functional and self-level when carrying a heavy load. Currently my airmatic system doesn't seem to run at all without the front air shocks.

I was wondering if there's a way to trick the airmatic system with a resistor or something simple to make it think that the front air shocks are connected. I understand the lower 2 pins of the air shock/spring electrical connector energize the air pressure valve. If anyone knows the function of the third/top most pin please let me know. I tried connecting a rear air spring to the front electrical connector and the system returned a "front air strut implausible" error. It seemed the system could distinguish what's connected and not just if something is connected.

I also remember reading previously that it may be possible to delete the front (or the entire?) airmatic system from the ECU. If anyone has any insight on this please also share.

Any input would be much appreciated!
Terry

Thanks for the referral. I've read BenzNinja's posts on here in the past. Is he no longer a forum member here? Couldn't find his username in the members list but his profile was still there when I clicked through one of his past posts. Couldn't PM him on here so I sent him an email instead. Is info@benzninja.com the way to contact him?

So the simplest work around for now is:

1) remove front air lines from valve block and plug with 2x 8mm bolts

2) remove front level sensor linkages and ziptie sensors at neutral reading (requires scanner capable of showing vehicle levels; low reading would trigger pump, which shuts off immediately due to overpressure since front air lines are plugged, high reading would prohibit airmatic control module ACM to pump up the rear to match the excessive front heights)

3) remove front airmatic strut electronic modules, connect modules to harnesses

Twist module ccw; I used a pair of channellocks or plumbing pliers; leverage the strut body as shown
Pry up and off module around the base; this process may be slow, tricky, and a little difficult
Modules are very durable. I ziptied them to nearby hoses and pipes

After the hack, the rear pumped up normally and even the "Raised" button/feature works. However, activating the feature would throw a 5507 code: "Suspension strut is implausible", which just means the front struts didn't raise while the rear ones did.

Other ideas:
1) to raise front vehicle height (w/ spring struts): place rubber sheets between strut top and vehicle

2) to raise rear vehicle height: bend rear height sensor linkage so it reads lower than actual vehicle height, ACM would pump the rear higher to compensate
