Hey guys,
Recently changed the front brake pads + rotors on a 2006 E500, following along with FCP Euro's front brake and rotor video. It was all good, except they only provided the torque specs for the caliper bolts that use a 21mm. The bolts for my caliper are 18mm, so I didn't go up as high, and instead torqued them down to 85 ft/lbs and added some blue threadlocker, but just wanted to verify if anyone had that info handy. I did call FCP Euro to see if they had the info, but the guy who I talked to said he couldn't find it in his resources o.O
Thanks!

How would I find the model number? I tried running the VIN through a decoder but got very confused. VIN is WDB2110701A880536

also very strange as cant pull the data card for the VIN-----is the car stolen or a crash car or junk title---whats the story
The following is based on your VIN and MB WIS caliper install dcs:
M12----115 Nm
M14----Stage 1---- 80 Nm
Stage 2---- 45 Nm
Havent got the FFI where you come up with M18
Sorry, basing the M18 off the socket, not the actual bolt hole. Car has clean title. US based as well. Not sure where to pull data card fromOriginally Posted by Plutoe
your mod number is first six numerical values in VIN, ie 211.070 and will look later for your torque answeralso very strange as cant pull the data card for the VIN-----is the car stolen or a crash car or junk title---whats the story
