conductor plate service

i will be replacing my conductor plate in my 722.6 trans due to the 2767 component y3/6n3 (speed sensor 3 is faulty). my vehicle has 122k miles and trans service is unknown so i will also be changing:
- ATF
- trans filter
- pilot bushing

with my mileage, would it be recommended to also change the shift/lockup solenoids and pressure control valve springs on the valve body?

most of the service i see on these parts are at much higher mileage, and i don't have any codes related to those (yet). on cold starts the car would shift rather hard from 2-3 but only about once a month which is very infrequent, leading me to believe it's likely ATF related (open for correction).

thanks in advance for the insight!

Just went through this on a 722.9 and I just cleaned the solenoid screens, magnet, and area of the valve body where the solenoids sit. Cleaned with a lint free qtip type thing and fresh transmission oil. I didn't think it was worth replacing solenoids that were working correctly, it's not that much work to get back in there if they need to be replaced at some point (I do trans flushes every 30k anyway).

this is exactly what i was thinking, not worth the replacement. i will be sure to clean the solenoid screens, magnets and valve body seats. appreciate this input!

did this job over the weekend after gaining lots of confidence with all the resources here and on youtube DIYs. i bought the complete conductor plate service kit from FCPeuro. while it was not overly difficult, the job sure is messy! i'm glad i anticipated this and laid a trap down to catch (most) of the ATF.

the conductor plate didn't look too bad and the speed sensor wasn't overly loose or decayed.

i did not find the 13-pin pilot bushing to be leaking at all, but it was replaced with a brand new unit included with the kit. the old o-ring is still on the original conductor plate.

did this on the driveway after getting all four corners off the ground. a lift would have made life so much easier (always)!

since i was by myself i used my floor jack to support the valve body upon removal.

interestingly the filter just fell out when i removed the pan. lots of trans "debris" on the pan magnet!

going back in, i had to get the wife to work the jack while i reposition things. aligning the shifter detent took most of the time. so messy!

i ended up using all 5 quarts of ATF. i cleared the code using launch x341 creader elite (great scanner)! all in all the job was very straightforward and i'm glad to do it instead of paying a shop which quoted me 4 hours of labor (reasonable, since it took me 2x with cleanup).

Thanks. This is all very interesting. Yesterday, my Mercedes tech informed me that my conductor plate is leaking, or simply the gasket has worn out. The concern is about trans fluid leaking out and trickling along a wire/cable to transmission module (?) if left as is? Currently, no notable performance issues with 82k original miles, looks, rides, drives like new. 2003 E500 sedan, Florida car.
