2003 E320 Sedan Transmission Problem
Once in The Car I Took it for a Test Drive and it shifted Between 1-3 Fine But when I Go To Accelerate above 50mph The Car Goes into Limp Mode and Won't Shift above 2nd Gear It Gives me a P0730 Code at The General Scan and a P2503 At The Transmission Scan (See Pics) I Have Tried Everything Including changing The Throttle Position Sensor/Gas Pedal Assembly and Nothing Works Can anyone Help ?
Considering you’ve already installed a performance kit, it’s possible that the modifications could be affecting the transmission’s behavior. I’d recommend double-checking the installation to ensure everything is connected properly and that there’s no interference with the solenoids. Also, if you haven't already, it might be worth resetting the transmission adaptation values after making changes. Your scanner in the pics I don't think does that, but I have youcanic scanner and it can do it. If the problem persists, you might need to look into replacing the solenoids or even a transmission fluid flush to clear any debris. Good luck, and keep us updated on what you find!
i personally would be leery of changing adaptation values (pretty sure your Launch scanner can do this) if the trans was working fine before.
thinking outside the box, how are the rear tires? are they evenly wearing? my thought is if there is some differential change due to variance in tire size possibly causing this issue? this is a conjecture.
