5350 code advice needed

I'd like some input from the more seasoned members on here regarding a 5350 code "Airmatic Pressure Relief Valve Open Circuit"... On my 2006 E500 4matic.
A few months ago I was driving and out of nowhere the front end raised all the way up while the rear remained at normal height. I don't remember how but the front then lowered itself way down, while the rear remained at normal height. The biggest problem with this is that the compressor would come on, but it wouldn't raise the car. I've had the car parked since then but I pulled it into the shop today and found the 5350 code.
I had that code a year ago too, but back then, we found frayed wires and repaired both wires going to the pressure relief valve, and it worked fine since then. Until now.
So today we rechecked the wires that we repaired a year ago, and they are fine. I also unplugged both plugs going to the valve block and cleaned the connectors and replaced them. I then removed the pressure relief valve from the compressor and we confirmed it works with power and ground. I put the valve back in and reconnected everything, and removed fuse #45 in the engine bay and reinstalled the fuse. At first the car was normal height in front and rear after lowering it from the lift....
But when I pulled the car out of the shop, I got the "service airmatic" message and checked the codes again and sure enough, 5350 came back. Then I noticed, the front of the car started going monster truck again, and now the rear is high too. Its better than being slammed like it was, but while it's in it's current state of "monster truck", I keep hearing clicking from what sounds like actuators or valves at each corner in succession and continuously while the car is running right now.
I'm assuming what's happening is, the relief valve is obviously not allowing the excess air to exit the system and whatever valves or actuators at each corner are trying to compensate but nothing is changing. It's just maxed out at it's highest height.
We looked it up and found that replacing the pressure relief valve's harness plug with a new one is a TSB for this? I'm scratching my head about it but I want to fix this!
Do any of you experienced guys have any advice?
Thanks!
