Question WHAT IS THIS THING?

Replacing the fender, bumper, lights, right wheel well and a few other pieces after hitting a deer and a guardrail. Right front (passenger side) was sheared away, the silver metallic impact absorber, radiator, AC and sensotronic brake module somehow escaped damage. I have pre-damage pictures of this black cylindrical thing about 3" in diameter and maybe 4-5 inches long that was mounted on the right side impact absorber, it was sheared away by the guardrail. It's got a two-wire connector and what appears to be a thin white vacuum line going to it. It was strapped to a bracket and hung in front of the airbag sensor and behind the horn. I don't see it in any of my xentry parts diagrams. The bracket bar it was mounted to, a 1x4 inch metal bar welded to the impact absorber, also does not appear in any diagrams. What is this thing? Anyone have a part number for it?
This cannister thing mounted to the right side (passenger) impact absorber behind the front bumper doesnt appear in my xentry parts diagrams. It has a 2-wire connector and what looks like a thin white vacuum line. It was sheared off hitting a guardrail. What is it?

These pre-wreck pics show it mounted between impact absorber and behind the horn.

The bracket it was mounted to looks like somebody added it later. Doesnt look like a factory-quality weld.
