Just got tint
After searching for several weeks for a local tint shop, I finally decided on going with A1 tint doctor in carson, CA. I went with 35% ceramic tint, all around, and they did not need to replace the felt strips as many have noted before. The tint looks great, and will post pics, once I figure out how to. Thanks for all your help.

Tint
Tried tint on both a new Eclass and Cclass without removing the stock felt. After 6 months both were scratched beyond repair. Most shops do not want to remove because of the extra labor...good luck.

A1 is a great place but expensive. And for the prices they charge they should have installed moleskin to prevent scratching. Also, did they just tint around the little plastic piece in the rear doors or did they remove it?
I am looking for a good tinting shop and I actually live 2 minutes from that shop. BTW, what was the total cost?

Can you just snap some pictures? I definitely want the tint to be on the entire glass and not cut out around that plastic piece. $300 is what I would expect to pay with moleskin installed and done perfectly.

See if it is Formula One's Pinnacle series Ceramic tint. I just got the E320, Oddy, TL, and E55 tinted with this stuff and it works wonders. Really is worth the hefty price.

I would highly recommend Sun Busters in Tustin. One man shop where the owner takes his time and does your car right. He has done 5 of my cars over the past 5 years. Recently did both my new E320's...removed all the door panels in order to remove the stock rubber strip that causes scratches. He charges about $185 for rear and complete sides.
