Our 2007 E350 Sport has 225,000 miles. Yesterday two things happened at the same time--seat heater lights started flashing when turned on. AND the heater/AC blower would not work. The control panel for the AC works fine, things switch around etc. But no fan.
Both of these things seem to resolve temporarily from time to time. Turn on the heat or AC or defrost and the fan might run for 5-10 seconds. While the fan is running the seat heater lights seem normal. Then, fan stops and lights start blinking.
I did the one obviouls thing which is check fuses. All seem to be ok. Beyond this I am puzzled about whether the two issues are linked.
With this sort of mileage I am not sure we want to start spending on electrical issues but wonder if anyone here has thoughts. Maybe a signal module? Or something worse? I am not handy enough to remove the blower and check the resistor. In the SF Bay Area labor costs will be a iller for many repairs.
Thanks all (BTW I am not new here but for whaterver reason my old ID has vanished)
