Keyless go not working
Hello everyone, This is my first post soo please correct any mistakes I make.
I have a w211 e320cdi (om648) 2004 and the keyless go isnt working. I have read a couple of old forums and I have replaced the key battery to no success. I have access to an autel and I can see that the car does recognise the key (being inside and outside the car) but on the live data when I press the push to start or lock and unlock buttons they dont register. I do have a code for the rear left antenna and the only key I have is (i think) the second key as its marked as no2. All the modules respond when I request their sw and hw numbers just the only think that is worrying me is the fact none of the buttons are being recognised by the live data. Can a single antenna cause all the buttons to just shut down even though the car recognises where the key is?

Hello, after finaly having some free time i decide to mess around with the keyless go. I decided to try and find the rear antenna (trunk). It's located under the styrofoam under the rear carpet cardboard thingy that covers the spare wheel. After doing an antenna test I heard it whine along with all other 3 antennas. I then decide to keep ripping the interior to find the keyless go module. After finding it i saw that a connector was ripped out of its place. After reconnecting it the antenna voltage too high went away and to my surprise the trunk keylessgo started working. It locks the whole car and only opens the trunk. Unfortunately all other buttons are still not working even on my autel, only the trunk one is now working (which it didnt before). Would like any opinions on what it might be but most probably this is for the guy 5 or 10 years from now who is having the same problem for me. I'll update the thread if anything exciting or expensive happens. Gl
