Finally found a flawless E500 2003 Silver with Charcoal. E2, E3 sport, CD changer and split fold down rear seats. It has 12k miles. I paid 49k. Yes I know it was a little high..., but compared to the others I looked at this one is in showroom condition. The owner had not placed the license plates on yet. He had towels over the floor mats. I do not like the sport wheels I prefer the double 5 spoke instead. So when it needs tires I may go up to AMG 18 IV. I did not need NAV since I use a portable Garmin 2610, which works great. From what I have read on this very helful forum I understand I can not view DVDs on my small screen. I tried the 357 trick a few times and nothing appeared on the screen. As to easy mods I am not sure about the CL grill or the bolt on exhaust tips. Thanks to all and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Congratulations! A great day indeed. Let me know when you switch the wheels as I am looking for a set...

Congratulations. Except for the exterior color (Pewter), I have exactly the same car. There were some minor problems but, overall, it's a great car. You'll enjoy it.
If you haven't done it already, get a vehicle printout from the dealer you'll use for servicing. You might want to wait a few weeks until the transfer of ownership gets into MB's system. The printout will show the complete history of the car including warranty information, servicing and all warranty work.
Depending on when your car was built, you might have the motor mount problem, the pulling to the right problem and a lack of ambient lighting in the four footwells when driving. Just do a search on those terms in this forum and you'll get all the information you need.

Congrats, hey I paid good money for my E-500. If that is the car you want with all the options you want, then you can never pay too much for the right car.
Welcome to the group and enjoy your new ride. I picked up my 04 E500 3 months ago. Be sure to take it to the dealer and have them run the VIN for recalls. There have been quite a few and you want to make sure everything is up to date. I just had the Audio Gateway and SBC fixes. No more static on the audio and the weird brake noises went away.
