Any difference between the AMG and base bumper? Curious to know, as I would be interested in a (preferably scuff-free) alternative to ripping holes in my bumper with a saw to fit some exhaust tips in.
there sure is! there are cutouts for the quad-exhaust, and the sides have a bulge to match the AMG side skirts! let me know if you find one...very very rare!
there is a avantgarde rear bumper that i think is even more rare - smaller cutouts!
Considered, but honestly, just like looking around for a rear bumper for the thing at this point. Might turn it into a hobby. Since I'm new to this, I'm not sure how to approach the mounting situation for an E55 muffler swap on my wagon. Thoughts on it?
not too sure if the mufflers would bolt on to the existing exhaust piping as they are larger in diameter. but assuming you can mount it, then i would simply trim the rear bumper to make room for the tips!
