Tire Pressure sensors

My friend has a set of tire pressure sensors from his 04 E500. If I add them to my wheels is any other parts I need? I am sure I would need to have programming done..

Umm, yeah, you need the tire pressure monitoring system (system without the tire pressure sensors, that is).

tpm

the way I understand the tpm, there are four pressure sensing plates in the wheels and these are removable, and they send out impulses to the dash, but you need to have the receiver, which is in the dash somewhere to do the computing.

5 senders, 5 antennas, cabling and control unit. Are we forgetting the spare wheel ?

I don't think that the donut spare in the trunk even has a sensor. There is no reading for it on the dash display.

I got carried away. I always keep a full spare inflated in the garage. Some models (and not this one as you correctly stated) have 5 readings from the 4 antennas.
