HRE Wheel Help!

Hey guys I need your help on which wheels to buy. I have a 2004 obsidian black E500 and I want HRE's. I'm torn between the 546r's, 547r's or 549r's. I was leaning toward the 547's but started liking the 549's. I want 20's if they fit but 19's will do if I have to. Fully polished with clear coated centers. Here are some pics of the wheels.

549r's

547r's

546r's

I wish I had pictures with these wheels on cars but maybe someone can help me out?

Sorry. Should be right now. I like them too but they look like they may be too small for the E500.

IMO, you can't go wrong with HRE Wheels! I prefer the 540R's or 841R's. But from the options you have, I'd go 549R's. You need a wheel that fills in the entire space for the W211. 547R's are my favorite HRE wheel, but they don't look good on the W211 because too much space is left with only 5 spokes (IMO).

My next set of wheels will likely be the 540Rs (for my S2000)

Definitely the 549r's. My ultimate dream wheels would be the Carlsson UL 16-spoke and the 549r's have a similar appeal.

Given a choice limited to the three wheels, I would go with the 546r. It's cleaner-looking than the other two. My preferred vote would be "none of the above" because all three wheels have a busy-looking circle of little holes (or something) around the rim. The wheels already on your car are more appropriate for a Mercedes, and already paid for (or financed) too.

I voted wrong; I wanted to vote for the 549s. I figured that they were listed in ascending order, but they were not. So ignore the only vote for the 546.

Put me down for the 549r's. I am so close to to buying them for myself, all I have to do to do is work my fingers to the bone so I can have the money to buy them. I would for sure shop them around and look for the best price as they aren't a cheap wheel.

You might have already seen this post

which shows the 547s and 549's on the E-class. I like them all, but probably favor the 549's slightly

547R's for sure. You can't go wrong with those new shoes on. It's like wearing Reebok.

Look's like the 546s are falling behind! The Carlsson's 1/16 look dope! They make me lean more toward the 549's.

546R is not the kind of style one would put on a luxury 4-dr sedan, its more for a 2-dr sports car, or even a smaller 4-dr sedan. 549R and 547R are the two most popular styles. I personally like 540R because it looks more "sophisticated and expensive". Be sure to get some killer pricing from me once you have made your style selection!!

549's.. they look like mine. But I paid half the price.. including tires!!

Go with 20''s - I kinda wish I had. She can take it. Just be conscious of offset, tire size. I have a super wide rear offset, and you can see the rim from looking at the trunk. Also, my rears are 10" - go at least 10 or 10.5 in rear.

Here's a lip shot

Here's a side shot to get idea if 19's are big enough.

I'm not sure about about painting them black. I like polished more. Maybe get the centers clear coated too.
