Ash or Charcoal Interior with Brilliant Silver E500?

Ok, I went to one of the Mercedes dealers in Sacramento and sat in both ash and charcoal E series and liked both colors for different reasons......since I have had the light grey interior on my last two cars, decided to take the charcoal this time for a change! Thanks to everyone for your input, really appreciate all the thoughtful comments. Car will be ordered tommorow from a dealer in Los Angeles ($2,000 lower price than Sacramento area dealers), should get it in about ten weeks. Will take the 50 minute flight down to LA on Southwest Airlines and then drive it back to Sacramento, should be a fun 6 hour drive in the new car. Can't wait!!

Good decision. I also live in Sacramento and bought Silver/Charcoal because I was tired of the beige/ash interiors I've had in my last two cars. I haven't regretted it for a minute. To me it feels very rich and looks good all the time without all the extra effort.

Looks like you don't have 'finer tastes'.
Now if you shaved and cut your hair! Who knows how this will effect your rating?

Go with the ash!!!. I have a 2005 E500 /brilliant silver with the ash interior. I think the appearance package's blue tint windows compliments the ash interior. Plus the ash interior provides a contrast with the black birds eye maple wood trim. The charcoal interior will hide the sporty yet elegant black wood trim.
good luck deciding

Finer Taste (sic)
Although HELL ONA HARLEY will no longer allow me to convey the "finer" attributes of ash, he HAS in fact permitted me to wish you the best wishes on your new car. Good Luck !

Definitely go with the Charcoal. I had an Audi that was Silver with the Ash equivalent and it looked boring over time without any contrast. Silver with Charcoal is such a classic combination that sometimes I even wished I had went with.

Whichever one is available (1 of 5)
I have silver and ash. Ash definately looks more classy than charcoal. Charcoal is too dark for a light colored car. But then again that is just personal opinion. However, I am planning on getting charcoal floor mats, which will make a good contrast for my light colored ash interior.

After much deliberation, I went with the charcoal, it is a little dark but I wanted "sporty" this time and have silver/ash in my current car, so I needed to do something a little different, especially since I repeated the silver exterior again!! (not very adventurous with my colors, charcoal interior is about as wild as it gets!!

All you guys responding to this thread are cracking me up..... Sacguy stated he made his decision (charcoal) way back on page 3, yet people are still compelled to give their .02. on a totally subjective opinion.
Lets give it a rest, quit being a post ***** and let this thread die.... Bandwidth is exspensive
Besides he made the best choice possible (my .02)
