TPAbnz,

Our local dealer gives Mercedes Owners Club (MBCA) members a 10% discount during the 1st 10 days of each month on parts.

Try Caliber Motors, CA. Although I haven’t gotten quotes in a while, they have been known to substantially discount in the past. Many on the forum have used their lower prices to present to their local dealer(s) for price matches; http://www.calibermotors.com

My local dealer gives Mercedes club members a 10% discount on the parts. However, their prices are more than 10% above the list price so you are still paying above the suggested price even with the discount. I have used Caliber and a few others who give an actual discount. As an example, last week I bought a $100 list price ski rack from Caliber for my car. Caliber price $80+$10.50 shipping=$90.50. Local dealer's price would have been $113-$11.30 discount+sales tax of about $7=about $109. Exceptionally quick delivery by UPS and I did not have to go to the dealer to pick it up.

If you or someone you know belongs to the Mercedes Benz Club of America, look at the ads in the Star magazine and give one of the advertisers a call.
