how much does it cost to paint?

In SF Bayarea: how much does the reasonable cost to paint front bumper, 2 side skirts, and rear bumper? anyone can give me $$$ figures so that i won't be overcharged?

get 1 bid from dealer (high bid) & 2 others from reputable shops. Thats the only fair way, after all the amount of prep work also figures into the price.

Sounds like you are doing a kit, expect to pay $1700-2000 for paint and install. There is always someone that will do it for cheaper but you get what you pay for.

i'm in the process of doing the body kit as well. I live in the Bay Area also and i have called EMC Collision in Fremont and they said about 1200-1500 depend on the condition of the the kit. How much prep work the have to put into it. you could check out their web site if you want.

mbfan67: i made few calls today, some say can do for $1500, some say can do for < $1000? i will do some visits to their bodyshops. it's for 1 front bumper, 1 rear bumper, and 2 side skirts.

Be very careful with whom you deal with. There are lots of clips that can be easily broken off if the person removing the bumper doesnt know how to.
I have seen some horrible kit installs, prep is the key to a quality job.

go to International Autobody in San Bruno........they do great work at a fair price.......i'm guessing for those parts, maybe from $1000-1500.......
