Nav all screwy
Yesterday I was up in Connecticut using my Nav extensively. It seemed to have gotten a little confused with some of the directions it was giving me, but it was still working. But, on the way home, I checked the Map screen, and attached you will see what I saw. Position is way off. Even the compass portion doesn't seem to be correct. From the display, you can see that it shows zero sats.
I've tried all of the ususal tricks to try and reset it. I removed the nav disc and put it back in. Reseated the COMAND fuses, and even got in to the newly found trick menu to see if any kind of reset existed, but no dice.
I'm going in for my next service in about 10 days, so I'm not too concerned, but wondered if anyone else knew of any other sort of reset sequence.

Long Island Sound? You must have been, uh, driving on the ice. Yeah, that's it. You uhh, felt like doing some off roading, and uhh, you decided to go for a spin on the ice. That's it, yeah.

My NAV system also screwed up after hours of flawless performance. After the first screw up, the system did it about 4 more times that week. My screen was either much like yours (but not showing the Sound are of course). Also, If I used the SAT radio, CD,CDC,MP3 or whatever, it would make a click sound every so often.
Mine always came back to life once I ejected the nav. DVD. But before the dealer upgraded the software, it began to hang up immediately after starting the car. According to the system, I never left my garage. What I don’t understand id that the system worked perfectly for 2 months before it started to act up!
The great news for you is that once they put the software upgrade, the single slot CD player became a MP3 player (CD ROM only). I love it!
I hope this is what you are experiencing. WOW!, it is snowing like mad out and there is LIGHTNING!! It looks pretty cool.

Well, then I am definately going to ask for the update, since I would love to have that capability.
In terms of resetting it, I have tried removing the disc as well with no luck. I remember having a weird problem a while ago where everything was about 100-1000 feet off. I pulled the fuses and the nav disc and it returned to being only about 50 feet off, which is expected. But in this case, it is not picking up any sats, so there could be something more complex wrong here.
