mp3 or not??????? 03 e500

Is there a way to update or flash a 03 e500 radio to play mp3 disc's.

North Carolina, United States. My bad. I often forget how many other users are outside the US. A far as the radio goes , I think it is a Harmon Kardon. I thought they were all the same????????????

I think the reason why you don’t get an answer is that this has been discussed so many times. Try the search function on this board. The short version is that is not possible on US cars. But some very few and very early 2003’s was delivered with a DVD drive that can be software upgraded to play MP3.
