Cloth Interior in Mercedes??
This subject is a total can of worms and I could debate for hours about it. I totally respect Vegetarians and I wish I could be as disciplined. However, humans are omnivores who have had a history of eating red meat (in the western hemisphere anyway) since the very start of our existence. I used to have to do linear programming cases where I would have to optimize the use of land and feed and all that stuff. I later ventured into commodity merchandising and have made well in the futures market.
The world can not eat either all vegetables or all meat. Just like we can't all live in cities or all in the countryside. It is the variety that makes a difference. I work with and have good friends who are Vegan Vegetarians and I know what they are all about. Remember, I live in Boulder County Colorado about 15 minutes from the city of Boulder.
Sorry to deviate from the original thread,
Steve
well, my avantgarde certainly has cloth seats, but i must say the cloth is one of the best i've seen -- it looks cool and mature, for some reason, unlike the cloth seats in most other cars. it most certainly does NOT feel low quality -- it's a true option rather than a downgrade.
i recently took a taxi ride in Terengganu, Malaysia, where they still use 1970s style Merc E-classes. the cloth seat was amazing! must be the mohair someone in this forum was talking about earlier -- soft and luxurious. too bad they don't seem to be an option anymore.
"So Mercedes-Benz is offering cloth interiors for its animal friendly consumers. Thats nice, so I test drove one but ended up hitting a deer."....
mercedes leather seems to lose it's smell within the first three to six months. Our 02 mini cooper and 03 z8 still smell great.
mercedes has succeeded in making wood look like plastic and leather fell like vinyl.
