renntech spoiler paniting

I just had a renntech spoiler painted alabaster white and the spoiler looks whiter than the car but the person who painted the spoiler told me that it would become the same color once under the sun. is this true?

I was aslo told the the parts I have painted aside would never be exactly the same color.

I doubt that what the person said is true. One way that you can get the spoiler toned down to match the white is to have them clear coat it (hopefully again).

If the shop is good at wha they do and uses MB paint, then the color should match.

well I already installed the spoiler with 3m tape and it looks whiter than the car and if I was to remove the spoiler would it damage the cars paint and spoiler by removing it? another issue is the car looks like it has orange peel in its paint and the spoiler doesnt is this the difference I am seeing?

Though optically correct, pigmentation is one of the key factors in paint. Unfortunately, the colors white, red and black are the ones that show pigmentation, making them the hardest colors to match, as per the human eye.

You can have 2 paint cans of the same paint code from the same paint manufacturer that can reveal a color mismatch, if the paint are manufactured in different lots or dates.

Shades of white shows more under natural sunlight, black shows a lot late in the afternoon sun, while red become very prominent under sodium or under street lighting at night.

after putting the car under the sun the color looks at 95% match but having it under light giver it a 85% match
