Pricing & BMW Comparison
Does anyone know approximate pricing for the New e500 model and also pros and con's compared to the BMW 5 series? I have a deposit down on a new 5 series and am wondering about the differences between the two models.

The general buzz i have heard is that the new models will only be about $1000 above current prices.... but thats not really saying anything much since MB has been decontenting some things in their cars.... for example, the New E Class comes with Leather Seating Inserts versus Full Leather Seats.... 
not good for a $50k car.

you know part of whats pissing me off is the cheapening of the brand MB has decided to do.... the 2003 C Class is having a price hike and less standard equipment . Can you belive it... Teleaid becomes optional on all C Class automobiles and Autodimming mirrors as standard are a thing of the past..... its just wrong...

The interior is not 'full' leather on W210. The leather on my E55 rear seats appear to be partial leather! The material on the center seat and a few other places looks & feels like 'pleather' to me. The sides and part you do not sit on all appear to be fake leather.

for $45,000+ we do expect more
it's one thing if a Lexus ES300 comes with leather inserts, but for a $45,000+ car, it does sound a bit miserly
but then again if it's standard on an E500, then I guess upping the ante to $55,000 adds more "standard" luxuries
