New member..

I have been reading (and enjoying) this board for a while and decided to finally post. Just took the plunge and ordered an E320 CDI - platinum Blue, charcoal leather, ligthing package, premium package and sirius - hoping for May delivery. I have never owed a Mercedes before and am really looking forward to getting the car. My commute is 45 miles one way (90 miles a day) so I should be using the car to its full extent . Didn't get the pleasure of test driving a CDI but I did drive an E320 - was so comfortable and quiet. They had a CDI on the lot but it was sold so the most we could do was start it up and listen - couldn't even tell it was a diesel. Husband has a Dodge 3500 dually diesel and I thought that was quiet (for a truck that size). We researched for months before finally deciding on this car and I plan on driving it for a long time. It is going to be nice to finally have a comfortable, quiet and powerful car to drive to work everyday My previous car was a Subaru WRX - fast but not comfortable or quiet. We also had a 2003 Corvette - very fast but also not comfortable and quiet - maybe I am getting old =D - comfortable seems more important to me now - though it might be the 90 miles a day on my tush... :p

Anyway, looking forward to reading more =).

Congratulations! I would recommend NOT getting the SIRIUS as a VPC-installed option... they WILL drill a hole in the trunk.

The W211 is definitely a comfortable car... keep something sportier for those shorter drives.
