Now I have a question. I see that I have option code 258 "collison warning system with active brake interv fcw stop". I take that to mean that basically it has autonomous braking where the car will brake itself. I thought that all I had was where you just get the red light flashing and a warning beep. Are you telling me that the car will automatically apply the brakes?

Is this saying there is an open recall or campaign on this? Or just a known issue? I ask because my car has the shuddering brakes issue; the brake disks were replaced about a year ago, and the issue has returned. So I'm facing the replacement of a second set of rear disks within one year.

Mr Konigstiger...I just got a new to me 2011 E550 with only 18K miles. WDDHF7CB3BA421818 and today i just noticed that the passanger seat is not straight. It is calked of to the left a bit. Everything works as far as adjusting the seat. I'ts not straight like the driver side. The track looks like it takes a slight different angle than the drivers side... Wierd!!
Was there ever any bulletin about this? Thank you for all you do for everybody!

Reference LI91.10-P-054143 “adjustment is biased to one side which bends the seat frame”.

Hi Mr. Konigstiger...
My Tranny started acting up today. I took off and it didnt want to shift. stayed in 3rd. After a mile or so it starte working fine. Got out of my car to go to the store...got back in and it did the same thing for a mile or so then started to shift normally.
Also first thing in the morning I start the car put it in D, step on the gas... and there's a little jerk then all is good. It doesnt happen but in the morning when the motor tranny is stone cold.
Can you please give me your opinion? 2011 E550 with only 21,000 miles...

12 e5504m see attachments for current part #s compare to invoice parts #(s) installed. Not recall or service campaign but rather MB bulletins covered under factory warranty (aside from 1 year/12,000 mile MB brake warranty), dependent on wear in your situation you "may" be able to successfully argue no cost disc/pad replacement referencing MBUSA 12 month/unlimited part warranty if within this period - dealer may refuse, contact MB 800-367-6372.

Is that saying that Collision Prevention Assist is a sub function of Distronic Plus? I don't have option code 258 on my data card, but I have codes 233, 266, 271, and 300 (which all reference some form of autonomous driving/braking). My CPA doesn't seem to be working, as I never get a warning beep or anything, no matter how close I get to the car behind me (unlike other cars I have driven, I get the warning beeps). I don't even have the CPA menu in the dash options. The dealer says it is part of Distrionic and it's "working normal". How do they know it's working fine, if the thing doesn't even work.

Recall campaign 2017040007 May17 – 2017 207 propellant mix ratio in pelvic airbag igniter might not meet specifications, dealer will replace airbag. Approximately 255 vehicles affected.
