Agreed. I was talking to a guy who owns a new CL, which replaced his '04 CL. He said he loves the new one, the tech, engineering, etc. and of course the look. But admitted it doesn't have the presence of his old one, said "it looks too much like other cars on the road, doesn't really make me turn my head or notice another one when it drives by me".

I do think the W221 holds distinction for the most part though. I'm not 100% crazy about it either, but I think out of all the current M-B's, it is kind of the only one that has that "Benz" aura to it, looks-wise.
