Rented E220 CDI in France - Beautiful Car
I'm in the U.S. and own a C-Class and SLK-Class.
A few weeks ago I was in France and got my rental upgraded to the brand new generation E-Class. A E220 CDI Sedan. It wasn't loaded, but it had the sleeping thing, parktronic, bixenons, navigation, etc.
It was a really beautiful car. While it was sometimes a bit large on some tight roads, I really enjoyed driving this car. It is very comfortable with a great ride and surprisingly good handling. the 220 CDI was also surprising. It got you up to speed quicker than you might think it would and it was pretty easy on consumption.
The looks of the new E sedan keep growing on me. I prefer the sedan look to the coupe. For me, the front end of this car is most attractive. The interior was also great with the black maple. Navigation worked surprisingly well. I preferred it to my upper end Tom Tom.
Overall, I really didn't have anything bad to say about the car. I normally prefer smaller sedans, but I would consider owning this car one day.
The Palladium color is gorgeous on the new E I think. It was a bit hard to say goodbye to such a fine automobile.
