Just signed on a new 2010 E550...
First off I know the design is polarizing but DAMN that car is HOT in white w/the sports package. The interior is a step backwards IMHO. I found my 550 's interior to be elegant, clean, rich- just what a lux car should be. The new interior is too complex, so many forms shapes and buttons. I found the drive to be similar to my car but it felt more vault-like (and I thought my car was a vault!). I will not give a detailed review b/c I need more time.
The car:
2010 E550 White with natural beige, P2 Parktronic (waste) sports pkge, pano, AMG twin spokes. MSRP $65,995.
Well, they met my terms, I had no choice

I love it when they tell you a number and you tell them no thanks. They say what will it take and you say a number low enough you know they wont say yes, but if they did you'd have to. They laughed at the number, said impossible, back and forth. We talked about golf, the economy (or lack thereof) etc. They dropped a little here and there. I said thanks anyways. All of a sudden they agreed. I was upset, I don't know why. I really didn't want to buy a car (but it was SO HOT). To put it to bed I had them drop the price an extra $500. Done, what could I say?
Picking it up Friday.
Should be able to sleep in the bedroom by next week sometime. Good thing my garage it hooked up, might have to buy the wife a few dinners, a few martini's. We will be ok.
I'll let you know how things go.

I ask because I have an E63 with lease up in February and have been shopping around, looking at, among others, an E550.
Thanks.
I will post the details after I close the deal

FYI, I have since stopped by Audi, Jag and another MB dealer to make sure I'm making the right move.
I test drove the A6 3.0t. Overall it was a nice car, exterior is pleasant but nothing more. Inside was nice but WAY too complicated. I felt like everything was alien. The car was much slower obviously and I could not live with that level of power everyday. Handling was good, it really hugged the road. Not enough for me . Out.
I had also considered a 2007 A8 b/c they have dropped like a stone in price. The car has presence, you feel like your a king in the cabin. Again very complicated inside. Drove like a brick, I was surprised. It was very slow and really worked hard in the corners, no driving enjoyment whatsoever. Out.
On to the XF. Wow, Aston Martin on the cheap! The cars back is the nicest on the planet. Period. Nose not so much but livable. Interior was like fine furniture but a little confined. I drove a 391hp model, and I an say it did not feel nearly as fast as the 550. It was also UNREFINED!! The car was rough, no other way to put it. The engine vibrated like hell at idle, it was loud and had the worst suspension I've ever seen on a sedan. I was VERY disappointed, I really wanted to like the car. It felt jouncy like it was bouncing back and forth over bumps. It handled well but felt heavy. Power was delivered like a muscle car- loud and rough. That engine belongs in an suv or maybe a tractor. Sadly out

Stopped by another MB dealer (one MUCH closer to my house) to check my deal. He would have to get the car (I know there is a cost there) but could not come near my price. Gave him a shot though.

So looks like tomorrow night I will be cruising in a new 550. I know there is a chance deals could get a little better by march, but I cant imagine that much. I'll post the details after I get it.

I assume you've got your car from one of LI dealers. I ussualy deal with Lakeview. If you don't mind - pm me dealer info after you'll make a deal.
See you in 550.

You mention total out of pocket being 3,000 but if You add up all the fees and 3300 tax, you're over 7,000?
And for the pics you want to post, copy and paste the HTML code here.
These Leases are getting pretty high.... 8K drive-off and $1K a month is a bit more than what a $60K car should be no?
Seems like the car after 39 months will cost a total of around $46K or so, unless I'm mistaken?

I think it is very hard to compare to a 350 lease. Different mf different residuals and quite different msrp.
