Foaming car wash

Hi all,

Just wanted to know if there is a difference with the foaming car wash vs the traditional car wash. I saw the foaming car wash gun sell for about $59.99 and was wondering if any one has tried it before I commit myself into buying one.

Huge difference. The Foam gun as it is known basically takes soap and mixes with water and sprays it out with lots of foam. This allows all the dirt to get to the surface and when you wash the car there is a lot less dirt hence less abrassive. I usually rinse then use the foam gun and let some of the foam fall off the car. Then respray the car with more foam and then use my my on to wash the car. This way you don't need a bucket in which the dirt gets back onto the glove. Get the wolfgang foam gun. It is supposed to be a good one.

Foam guns are great! You`ll have to experiment with soap ratios depending on your water, but they make washing a lot easier.

Many of the guns around are made by Gilmour, Amazon has the 75QGFMR for around $40 (you want the multi-ratio one).

I'm actually in the san francisco bay area. Do you know of any shops here that carry the foam sprayer or do I have to buy it online.
