2010 E550 4matic, 2008 MDX, 2011 335i Vert
Have and 08 acura and had 06 toyota/bmw prior. Toyota/Bmw didnt hold a candle to the acura nav sys. Not even close. I think my '10 E550 navi has about caught up to the acura and even surpasses in some ways. My screen looks like the one shown but seems to display the street names right. On older systems (my bimmer and toyota) didn't always have all the street names digitized depending on where I went (parts of northeastern PA and lots of VT, for example)....not sure if that might be a problem for you.
Best way to get current street is setting the display inside the speedo to show it

Finally took the car in for an unrelated problem (sunroof issue). I mentioned the navigation problem to them since they were going to need the car overnight. Looks like I have a defective antenna. They are ordering a new one and will install it when it arrives in 2 weeks. Maybe it'll stop getting lost.
