Rear Ent. System

MSRP (per 2010 pricing) $63755.00
Tax in Michigan: 6%

Dealer agreed to sell me exactly at Dealer invoice, around $59,600.
So Out of the door price will be $59,600 (or whatever the dealer invoice is for 2011 model) + sales tax + Doc/ plate fees ($200 or so) .

No trade in, no Lease. Just fully 100% purchase and custom order. Arrival on August, 2010.

Please let me know your feedback. Thank you.
saw you're 59,600 number.....and that is the same for a e550 4matic here in NC

I have a Q:

Do you guys know if it's possible to get your Annual Mileage Allowed lowered DURING the Lease?

It looks like I'm gonna be putting less Miles on my car than I might have originally figured, and heard that if you go down from 10K to 7,500 Miles a year, you can save about $50 a month?

Also, nobody posted what their "Money Factor" was here, it looks like. I'm just learning more about Leasing stuff (of course after I do my first ever Lease, lol), and realize the Money Factor IS in fact negotiable?

I researched for the E and it seems the M.F is kind of all over the place, I think mine was a .00259 or something, which seems to be down the middle/good.

"Rent Charges" that accumulate from that (I believe) are at $7,700.

I feel like I just should have bough the friggin' thing sometimes.

Anyone know if AAA gives you an actual "Discount" off of a price you already negotiated?

I think you really get diminishing returns when you reduce mileage on the lease. You are reducing your payment by 600 a year, guessing that's somewhere between 6 and 9 Pct of your payment. However the amount you use the car drops by 25pct. Granted that 25 pct has no utility to you.

I think you can not lower your mileage in the middle of lease.
Your lease is the contract between you and the bank. You can not change the contract in the middle. You may sell your lease to somebody else and get another car ( lease ) with another annual mileage allowance.

Ah, yeah I figured that'd be the case. I didn't even know you had the option to go to 7,500. Oh well, I guess just in case I end up needing those extra miles, the extra money spent for the 10K will allow that "luxury".

I do hope that there isn't some set price discount using AAA though, I'll feel pissed for not using it, considering I've had AAA forever.

Also, excuse this other "Leasing Newbie" question, but w.t.h is the "Acquisition Fee"?

They charged me $1,095 for that.

Acquisition Fee - is how much it will cost to a bank to bring your car from you to the auction ( according to them ). And...BTW..they overcharge you. It should be around $500-$600. Dealers do it all the time. My dealer said to me that bank fee is $1,000 and knew it for a fact, that it's $795.
BTW..My lease includes 15K miles a year and I know I will drive almost all or even more. If you drive less than 10K a year - there is no point to lease IMHO...just waste of money...The smartest thing is to buy almost new from the auction. 2010 E with 10K miles sells for $40K today at Manheim.

F&#*ing a$$holes.

I knew I got ripped there when I saw that.

Yeah, Leasing doesn't seem for me, I have the cash so I should have just bought. I just felt more "comfortable" without putting a $20+K Downpayment on a car, but in reality, who cares, the car is insured, and the money isn't going anywhere.

I do a lot of long distance driving, but I don't drive my E for that. I was at first, but realized one trip would pretty much wipe out my allowed mileage for one month (meaning I'd go wayy over at the end of the Lease). So without using it for those long drives, it ends up being a complete local cruiser/"pleasure Car", which is pointless for Leasing.

At the end of the Lease, the car will probably be in such pristine condition, and with such low Miles, I'll probably force myself to just buy it.... Unless I decide to "F it" and take it on those long drives (which will really also make the car far less than pristine.

If I do buy it, I just wasted $8K by Leasing, i.e that's how much the "Rental Charge" comes out to, haha. Oh well, live and learn. Chalk it up to another experience.

BTW, when you buy a Car after the Lease, you don't have to pay Tax on the amount correct?

1. You have to pay tax on residual value price ( at least in NY ).
2. I don't know your residual, but ussualy this is silly idea to buy a car after lease. Residual value almost always more than actual price of the car. Just go to auction and buy a car with low mileage and you'll save a lot.

Ah, that sucks. I thought I heard someone say you didn't.

Yeah, very true. I guess I have 3 years to figure out how I can squeeze all the necessary mileage out of my car.

My Residual is $32K and change, not tooo bad actually for a 3 year old, current body style E-Class. Not to mention, one of the perks is if it has super low mileage, and I know how it's cared for, etc. etc.

I wish I did all this Leasing research before I got the car. I'm the type of person where if I get obsessively researching into something, I'm about unstoppable, but if I don't, I trip all over myself. Now I know all the specifics and rules the trade when it comes to Leasing.

BTW, I realize nobody posted their Money Factors, this is also new to me (and the fact that you can negotiate apparently as well is). Mine is .00250.

In Puerto Rico there is only one MB dealer Garage Isla Verde.
The MSRP was the same as the states but we add destination charges and in PR local taxes are very high.

I have the iridium silver $720, P1 Pkg 3,900, Panorama Sunroof and Sport Pkg the MSRP was $83,00 and I have it for $79,500 including taxes.

Monthly payment is $1,354 plus insurance.

We pay almost $15,000-20,000 dollars on taxes depending on options.

Well I am a physician so it depends in the patient volume but after taxes and expenses it should be around 300,000.

Salaries??? I am on unemployment. No lie. I am still getting a new Benz. I saved a lot of cash and my house is paid. I am nearly 53 years old and I should enjoy what I have.

Are you sure that was 2011 and not 2010? And $46K for '09 on top of that? With all due respect it is not possible. I just tried the same a couple of weeks back - I got same discount as you got (but on 2010 E550 not 2011), and on my '09 with similar milage as you, they gave me $6K less. Naturally I walked away. They called me three times after that, but they did not move on price much.

Well I dont own the car yet, but that is what was promised and the dealer told me that the car is on its way and should be here and ready for me to pick up on Friday. I cant imagine that they would go through the trouble of getting the vehicle from another dealership, pay to put it on a flat bed just to not give me what they offered and have me walk away.
I have called numerous dealerships and right now there are no 2010 E550s to be found and 2011s are scarce. They have tons of 350s though. So when friday comes I do hope that you are WRONG. I do love the car but if they try to pull a fast one I will walk away and go buy the car somewhere else.

My dealer had everything in writing when the deposit was made on my 2011.
It had all detail info such as year, options, etc.

So... did you get a copy Tjdhya.

There are plenty of '10 E550s in the US left (I'm in FL - they still have enough, I'm not even mentioning E350s - a tonn of these). But let's assume there are none ('10), why would they sell you a brand new '11 E550 for no profit - naturally there are no money from MB to dealers for '11 E-class cars (especially E550). For your sake I hope I'm wrong, but it makes no sence.
