Does the car always sit lower in sport mode or does it only lower at speed (85mph) ?

US cars (cars with option code 494) do not sit lower at zero or low speed even at Sport setting.
Euro cars behave the following way at Comfort setting:
0 mm change up to 150 km/h
-10 mm at speeds above 150 km/h
back to 0 mm when speed drops below 90 km/h
At Sport mode:
- 10 mm at all speeds.
I don't have the data for US cars but I assume it is mostly the same except that the car lowers even at Sport mode only at some higher speed.
