Shopping for the right set of Wheels, Need help
I havnt seen anough photos of a white 212 with aftermarket wheels.
I have a budget of about $4,000 to spend. Can any one recommend some wheels that you feel would fit the exterior styling of the 212. I would hate to make a purchase and see something a few weeks later that would prb have looked better. HREs are damn expensive, over 7 grand with out tires ? Insane pricing. Can you even get decent wheels for about 4,000-4500 these days ? Gotta be forged. Thanks!

Consider CCW's...single piece forged, quality construction, and fairly priced. You can get a set of 19's for right around $3K and a set of 20's a bit over $3K. With a set of tires, you should be below your $4K budget.

The wheels will bolt on, but I'm not sure if the offsets are the same. That's something you'd have to check out. Shoot me a PM if you change your mind. My new wheels don't come in for a couple weeks anyway.

With a $4k+ budget, I'd take a good look at Fikse wheels. Very high quality, 3-piece, and not overstyled like most aftermarket "luxury" wheels out there.
But...the wheels I would choose to install on a w212 (if I had one) would be the staggered Fuchs forged 18" S600/CL600 factory wheels (same wheels, except CL version has gray machined line down each fat spoke). They are 18x8.5 & 18.9.5, both with a 43mm offset. I really like the wheels on my w210, and I think the "chiseled" look would work very well on a w212. Was thinking of installing them on our w211, but don't think they would work well with the rounded shape of the car.
Here's a few pics of the s600 wheels on my dirty w210:

Have you tried playing around the Tire Rack site to get a feel for wheel type?
See here---> http://tinyurl.com/ygfgpst
Let us know what ends up ringing your bell !
By experience... if you like the CCW's, they are an excellent wheel and value. Custom made in the USA with excellent service.

I love the W210, A good friend of mine has a 2002 E430 and the car still impresses, its drives great and amazingly the seats still look brand new. And if I had to compare the seats in my 2010 E550 to the 2002 E430, On a positioning and comfort level the 430 wins hands down. Have to be honest.

I have had the SP16a's on my SL65 and loved them...so I am biased.

Wow i didnt even realize your wheels were the CCR SP16a. I cant even put into words how HOT your car is X 1000
I like those wheels very much, what do you think would be the best finish for my white 550 ? Brushed with chrome lip ?
Also, on a straight line which is the faster car ? E55 or the SL ?

1. gunmetal (I like the contrast)
2. polished (looks great with a white)
3. brushed with chrome lip (nice...but chrome is always harder to maintain..i.e. chips)
Below are pics of my E55 (with CCW SP18's) before I had them painted gloss black and the rest of the car murdered:
PS...The E55 modded as it is could hang with the SL65 stock but now that the SL65 is "slightly" modded...no contest...SL65 FTW.

This is not my car. I ran across these pics of a white w212 with wheels and fetched them for you. People on 6speedonline forum are not giving this car/wheel combination a lot of lovin' though.

I think it is a great look...sporty but refined. You can get a similar look with the CCW SP16a's for a lot less though without sacrificing quality...IMO.

Why's that? I think it looks good!! Some people are just totally against putting 20's on an E class. Not sure their thinking on that one.
