Weathertech floor liners (& mats)
I've been waiting for Weathertech to offer their Floor Liners for a while. I have previously owned Weathertech products and they rock!
It appears they have just released them for the W212 but only have the front row mats available for now.
They do, however, have BOTH rows in their regular all-season mats.
$99.95 plus $18 shipping for 7-10 day delivery. (rears not available yet, but when they are they will ship for free since they are not available now.) You have to do this by phone when the rears are available, as I was told when calling Weather Tech today.
BTW, Also was told they actually manufacturer these Digital Fit trays as they are ordered, that is why the 7-10 day shipping.
I asked what happens if one chooses expedited shipping and the rep said that for the extra shipping charge they will also expedite manufacturing them. (Strange but true)
-------------
Weather Tech All-Weather rubber floor mats. (NO MB logo)(NON- Digital) are the same as the MB mats offered at the MB dealership.
They are $99.95 PLUS shipping of approx. $18.
The MB dealer charges about $89.(From the dealer MB Logo.) No shipping of course and you can order them if not in stock and they will be in within 2 business days.
I have a set of these and really don't like that they leave too much carpeting exposed. Good for rainy climates, but for snow and ice they are better than ruining your carpeted mats but not a great solution.
I'm in Western NY in the Finger Lakes Region. I have the rubber mats from MB dealer and I can see already that there will be spill over at times on to the carpet.
I wasted the money, but Weather Tech did not have the Digital Fit available last month.

I spoke to Pat and she said to post her number and have anyone else who ordered call, and she would help them.

Ordered 12/28/09... nothing yet.
Sent out email following up yesterday... still no news. Thanks for the tel number "wheels777" !
The first set I received did not attach properly due to the incorrect grommets and now a replacement is being sent out.
I should have informed the forum when I posted before.
Thanks for the Weather Tech contact info. I just spoke with Pat, and she is working on having my Digital Liners (ordered 1/5/10) shipped tomorrow, with the correct grommets.
To be continued ....
I did not even ask for this as I realize the 212 is a new model and it takes time to get the product to market.
I think Weathertech has great customer support.
Pat and Jennifer in customer service were the best and "saved the day" IMO, because before they interceded my order was in limbo and nothing was going right.
My original email notification said "we are working to pick, pack and ship your order and you will receive in 7-10 days."
They have since UPDATED the website/email order confirmations to say: Your order has been received. We are working to manufacture (in some cases), pick, pack and ship your order.
*FloorLiner & Cargo Liner Delivery Note:
You have purchased a custom-made product which takes time to manufacture. Once your FloorLiners or Cargo Liners are molded, they are then hand trimmed, hand packed and then shipped via FedEx ground (unless you chose express shipping). Please allow 3 to 7 business days for manufacturing and up to 5 business days for FedEx ground shipping (unless you chose express shipping) to deliver your package to your door from our Kansas manufacturing facility.
I was so dumbfounded on the phone, all I said was "Ugh, ok then."
I will try again tomorrow morning to get a more sensible date. How can I accept to Paypal money in December for Winter mats and get them in March?
Since they are molded to the exact dimensions of the specific car they fit, they literally become indistinguishable from the carpeted floor. They have a smooth texture.
The All Weather rubber mats (not Digital Fit ) IMO, actually detract more from interior appearance due the honeycomb molded design. They also can not be cleaned as easily since you have to remove them to clean and wash out all the crevices.
The Digital Fit Liners can just be wiped off while in the car.
P.S. I have both
So it looks like I need to make another call on Monday to WeatherTech. Nice mats, but way too much work required to get them and make them work. In my opinion, this experience (and those of others on reported this forum) is a very poor advertisment for their products.

I sympathize with you.
This was the same BS I went through.
Impossible to get any news on the 2nd row mats from the representative either.
Other than the grommet issue raised here, my previous experience with Weathertech product still proves that the wait will be worth it.
Patience...
