Considering purchasing a 212

Hello all,
I am considering trading in my C-300 for a new ride ('08, P2). I would like something bigger and I have the following issues coming up prompting me to consider a new car.

*I have 46K on the C and need to spend $5000 to extend the warrantee to 100K
*I don't have the MM package and want to install the UMI at approx $3K
*My service advisor tells me this year Coolant, Transmission and Power Steering fluids will need to be changed, flushed (I guess $800 or so)
*I can't imagine getting through this year without having to service the brakes so what can that be $1000?

So my guess is that I may have to spend 8 to 10K on this car this year. I purchased the car and only owe $8K through MB financial.

Dealer tells me he'll give me $25K for the C.

This is my shopping list for right now:
2010 E550 Metallic Black on black - walnut trim
Sport, P2 and Driver Assistance package
Split folding rear seats
Panoramic Roof
Drive dynamic seats
Night view assist

Please give me your comments or suggestions. Please feel free to rip me if you think I'm nuts!!

Kind regards,
Rick

sounds very nice. you might find the interior with that combination to be a little somber and i would suggest that you try out the night vision feature- it does work really well but unless you use it mainly during slow driving, it's quite disconcerting to keep flicking your eyes from the road to the sceen . i had it on my previous car and chose not to get it on my current mb. otherwise i think you'll love the car.

Get ready to pay about $67-$68K for this car...if you'll find it with all of those options. If not - you will have to order it, which may be more money.....

Anyway nice choice...good luck..

Hello All,
You are right, on both the price and availabilty. I'll have to order it, but I can wait.
I agree on the Black - on - black too. The black interior just looks so awesome, I've had most of the other colors in loaners and none of them comes close to the black interior (that i have in my W204). I would love a RED exterior color but it's not available in the sedan. Next logical choice is metalic black but that makes it kind of mono-tone.
Thanks
Rick
